Share your OTF origin stories

I’m pretty new to otf but I thought it would be cool to see all of your first experiences with otf, how’d you discover it in the first place, and what you wanted to get out of it.

I was bored and scrolled a little too far down on the forums.

I kind of just clicked 'More' on the app and scrolled down.

It went downhill fast.

Here’s mine! So one day I had been messing around with chess.com more section. Checking out things like solo chess vision and clubs. I had also noticed that there was a forums tab as well. Naturally I was curious and so I had to check it out. What I saw is what you see on otf now. Troll fun topics m, but most importantly community engagement. I am a part of a lot of clubs and activities where community engagement is key to success such as Deca. I thought it would be good to try to get the hang of talking to people online and see what makes otf work. Furthermore quite recently I’ve noticed that my texts are quite bland so I really enjoy otf for getting to practice my texting skills. Yup that’s my motivation La for otf. Have a great life! 😁
