I prefer TOS or Lower decks

I prefer Voyager. The Original series is dumb, Enterprise has alot of stupid episodes, and I can't stand all of the characters in the Next Generation. Picard and his pompousness, Worf and his ridiculously overdone honor obsession, Troi and her fake empathy/callousness, Whiny Wesley, Beverly with all her sexual deviance/absurd romantic life, and DATA with his flawed ethics the times he does act human.

WOAH WOAH WOAH. Nobody disses the original series to my face. And DATA is a freaking saint!

The original series has good episode, but the enterprise controls are hilariously ancient. Even more old style than what they actually has in the 60s. Want to blow up the impulse engines? Just hit 2 levers! And of course all the completely unlabeled buttons and touchscreens that don't actually do anything when you press them (although this problem continues through every series). You wanna take this to my thread on this stuff?

I agree the enterprise controls are goofy, but it's the first series of the franchise. It's what launched star trek into fame

Actually the Enterprise series controls are even more laughably. Every single computer either has random images with no labels, menus, or other graphics whatsoever, or is just a command prompt with random sequences of numbers endlessly changing and nothing else. The bridge navigation panels will have only like 20 buttons and like 3 levers, yet buttons to simply open a door will be labeled "F34" for some reason. Voyager has much better graphics but when you look at the displays or pause on them it's the same crap. Unlabeled buttons, the same exact radar-style display on every single panel in the ship, and buttons that do nothing when you hit them, or at the very most display yet again a random meaningless sequence of numbers underneath. And then you have the next generation where they can do complex battle manuvres by hitting a grand total of 5 buttons, yet it will take like 100 buttons to decompress the main shuttle bay.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the enterprise series

It's also more the simplistic sense of it, more to rep describing parables each show. I prefer that in itself profoundly more, and basically would only care TO watch those original than the later versions, developed trekness..

They don't have to be that effin lazy though. Use films of the interior of a 737 if necessary, or from a nuclear powered submarine, the buttons and lever crap looks like a giant kids toy.

True
