I don't see how that would be cheating. On the other hand, the help section on cheating is saying "For Live games on Chess.com, if you are looking at anything other than the game in front of you, you shouldn’t be!".

I guess it's considered cheating, because the position analyzed might have similarities with the ongoing game.

You shouldn't be looking at anything chess-related (except the game itself) when playing live chess.
