Star Trek (TOS ) Part II

The original thread was thrown out, so let's try is again. 

One of the questions from the first thread was: Kirk or Picard ?

So the other day Captain Kirk reached 91 years of age, also recently rode into space.

I prefer Kirk

Kirk is a good captain because of his tactical knowledge and skill

Picard is a good captain partially because of that, but he has like superpowers or something from the Borg

  Kirk was court marshalled....once by us and once by the Klingons.

Thanks for the posts and the info.

While out shopping the other day I was able to get a copy on the new Star Trek publication entitled: 2022 First Look, The Complete Guide To Star Trek, Special Collector's Edition. This is a very well written and comprehensive guide to this program. I was also very glad to see a half-page article on the late Lucille Ball as she was the one at Desilu Studio who ordered a second pilot after NBC had rejected the show.

No-----Captain Jonathan Archer has them BOTH beat...he was the first captain of the starship Enterprise, who pioneered the formation of the Federation of Planets ...
