IDEA! Ok… The murderer uses a mix of the victims blood and water to feed a plant to hide blood.

A while ago I had an idea for a magic system where mirrors store the magic in a pocket dimension that exists behind them, and when the mirrors break they start leaking magic causing Gravity Falls-ish weirdness, and if they get completely destroyed its a much more intense explosion of magic-energy-crack-stuff.
It’s not a plot but I think it’s interesting with a good deal of potential.

Murder mystery starting at the resolution o the mystery, where the butler is wrongly accused of the killings and has to defend himself in court
Bugs increase in population and size so much that 70% of Humanity dies, and every year mosquitoes rampage across the world sucking the blood of every animal and human it comes across.

Zombie virus spreads. The government becomes totalitarian in the process of trying to contain it because they have to regulate births, deaths and ill people much more. Story focuses on moribund person who is about to be euthanized for the sake of the virus not spreading.

An emperor has dies. So his apprentice (also his sucessor) and his wife attend his funeral in the forest of magic. After the funeral, his apprentice becomes the next emperor. The new emperor cursed because when the old emperor died, the new emperor didnt say goodbye and go home. The story focuses on the curse he had, the challenges of evilness in the empire, and the way to break the curse.
A murder mystery story, but there is no murderer, and the guy who died just faked his death for insurance money or something
Wizards and unicorns are enemies then one special wizard come across a unicorn and they become best friends and then they somehow bring peace among the unicorns and wizards
