super fast chess!

I’m kind of blown away. Just played a 5 minute game. Opponent had 7 seconds left and I had had 1:30. I sacrificed my rook thinking I was going to win on time. They then made 28 moves in less than 5 seconds. They were not worried in any way of running out of time moving two pawns across the board and promoting them to queens. They were starting to move a 3rd pawn across when I ran out of time. How is that possible, ~6 moves a second?
