Support Group - Mouse Blunders!!!

Ahhhhhhh!

I was a rook up at the time and my opponent was threatening a queen supported mate and at the same time attacking my queen. Easily refuted of course, I simply chose to trade queens, but to my dismay I landed my queen on the square next to my opponent's queen, giving him/her the choice of grabbing my hung queen or mating me... naturally wasting no time he/she chose the later.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!! F@#$%&%#$@!!

I have to get this out... does this happen to anyone else?

A genuine blunder I can swallow but my sloppy mouse work has got me in a pooper!

CJKWA

Thanks Brad.

Apparently I'm the only one this happens to!

I'm over it now and I'm back to my typical zen state (didn't take me long thankfully).

I think my ergonomically cushioned mouse pad is too small for my lumbering hands, but it is very comfy...

I've lost count of the number of times I've "done"it.

Amen! Testify!

Yes, and then of course then the torment of deciding whether or not to explain it was a mouse slip via chat.

CJKWA

Haha... I wasn't going to make excuses to my opponent via chat  but I wasn't given a chance anyway; I think he realised he got lucky as he promptly did a runner and declined my challenge to a rematch.

Declining a rematch normally doesn't bother me as I decline some myself. After a few blitz games my head hurts and needs a rest but it did rub salt into the wound! Oh well, such is life. Chess is as much about losing as it is about winning... said to myself while rocking back and forth in the shower :)
