Do they give you the lyrics to the songs? Maybe we might understand better what new invented launguage they are speaking.

mumble rap = like flexing and stuff mostly

the talented ones are mostly lyrical

defenderpug
Do they have lyrics to their mumble rap though?
kaipingorkai

yes they do but most of them involve flexing about how rich they are

EminemTheMonster

Eminem is the best rapper.

Old post but, while I agree with most of your talented list. I think you’re failing to recognize the other aspects of hip-hop. Lyricism isn’t the only indicator of talent. Delivery is another important aspect.

“Mumble rap” has its merits, it’s all about enviroment. I love Lupe fiasco for example but, I can’t listen to prisoner 1 & 2 if I invite friends over.

sometimes emotion is the objective of mumble rap, and this is definitely achieved. For example blue face respect my cryppin, while it’s not at all lyrical; and it’s not even on beat. His energy is infectious, it’s catchy and you can feel it.

hip-hop is an incredibly rich and complex genre full of different styles.

@eminemthemonster you say Eminem is the best rapper, I’d disagree. If we’re talking technical skill yes but, he’s lacking in other ways. He is amazing with multi syllabic rhymes and crazy fast flows but, a lot of the time it’s boring. Like look up his 11 minute freestyle from a few years ago vs Juice wrld’s one hour freestyle in Westwood. Juice has that energy that Eminem lacked. Em has crazy bars but it’s just boring.

I used to be a Stan  but, try and listen to his older projects nowadays they sound so edgy and unnecessary.
