Tell me the truth about root canals and please, NO SUGARCOATING!😩😱🥴😨

Hi people!👨🏽‍💻🧑🏻‍🔧🧑🏾‍🚒👩‍🎤👨🏻‍🔬 This is a VERY short term forum. I’m getting my first root 🦷 canal on Wednesday and I’ve heard many horror🙀 stories about root canals. If you’ve had one, PLEASE tell me what to expect during, and in the days after,  and give me the ugly truth!😱 I asked the dentist and he said “Oh, it’s NO big deal.” I DON’T BELIEVE HIM.

I've had two. The worst parts:

1. The novocaine shots. No getting around it...they're unpleasant. But a total walk in the park for someone who's been through all you've been through. 

2. The duration. Mine took about two hours.....long time to be sitting there in that chair. 

Other than that, there was pretty much no pain at all, no different from getting a crown or any other routine dental procedure. And when you're done....you're done. No after effects....pain, discomfort or anything. I've never had a problem since with either of them.....and they're both more than 20 years old.

I didn't get the good stuff....all I got was novocaine. So unlike "Old Gropey", I kept my hands to myself.

Never had the procedure. Did get my wisdom teeth removed though. Wonder where I got the wisdom from in the first place - never really showed. Took 3 hours of grinding on one side. They improved it to 1.5 hours on the other after the experience.
