I saw them around the same time. Wish I'd seen them when Moon was playing.

Seeing how 'Tis the Season (Election season, that is,) I thought I'd share some lyrics:

We'll be fighting in the streets

With our children at our feet

And the morals that they worship will be gone

And the men who spurred us on

Sit in judgement of all wrong

They decide and the shotgun sings the song

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution

Take a bow for the new revolution

Smile and grin at the change all around

Pick up my guitar and play

Just like yesterday

Then I'll get on my knees and pray

We don't get fooled again

The change, it had to come

We knew it all along

We were liberated from the fold, that's all

And the world looks just the same

And history ain't changed

'Cause the banners, they are flown in the next war

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution

Take a bow for the new revolution

Smile and grin at the change all around

Pick up my guitar and play

Just like yesterday

Then I'll get on my knees and pray

We don't get fooled again

No, no!

I'll move myself and my family aside

If we happen to be left half alive

I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky

Though I know that the hypnotized never lie

Do ya?

There's nothing in the streets

Looks any different to me

And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye

And the parting on the left

Are now parting on the right

And the beards have all grown longer overnight

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution

Take a bow for the new revolution

Smile and grin at the change all around

Pick up my guitar and play

Just like yesterday

Then I'll get on my knees and pray

We don't get fooled again

Don't get fooled again

No, no!

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Meet the new boss

Same as the old boss

I want to put some distance between myself and AC/DC in light of todays news.  As a drummer, I don't know him.

Yeah, I heard.

Usually rock musicians get arrested for cool stuff. You know, possession, drunk driving, public indecency, stuff like that.

But this guy, not cool at all.

I know. You'd think he was a football player or some other thug.

Actually I was thinking of Aaron Hernadez. But there are others to pick from too. Cool

I guess mention needs to be made that the charges of "attempting to procure murder" against Rudd have been dropped, and the Crown Solicitor says it was not consulted and the charges should never have been brought, dur to lack of evidence. However, the charges of "threatening to kill" still remain in effect.

Hernandez still faces all his charges . . .

Nice that the charges were dropped. But still, the damage has been done. he will likely be cut from the band now, due to yet another mistake on the part of the Justice System.

I just heard on the news that U-Tube wants to compete with Spottify, Amazon, I-Tunes.  They'll offer a system like chess.com where for a monthly fee, you can purchase music with NO ads. Expected to roll out in a few weeks.

Bobby Keys died. Cry  Rock saxophone legend who toured for decades with a lot of the biggest acts, including almost every single Stones tour from 1970 onward until he was too ill for this year's tour.

Thanks for all of the recent posts.

Cystem_Phailure: Thanks for the info on the passing of Bobby Keys. I had some internet problems and could not post in the forums so I'm glad that you posted that sad news.

--- Thanks for the new post Cystem_Phailure. Yes I truly missed not being able to chat with everyone here in the forums. I don't claim to know much about computers but after I changed browsers and tried adjusting the settings my old buddy is working again ( I call my old PC: Mr. H P Compaq  lol ). Mind you I guess someday I'll have to buy a new machine, I hear that the Windows 10 system will be out soon.

I remember riding on a crowded bus once. Everybodys quiet, minding their own business. Pink Floyd's "I wish you were here" comes on over the radio. About 7 or 8 of us scattered around the bus start singing along with it. Others are kinda scratching their heads, wondering WTF?

Was hysterical, and tranquil, all at once.

So, the question is: Did you exchange a walk on part in a war for the lead role in a cage?

Varelse I: That is a funny story.

AlCzervik: Interesting Question there.
