the Downfall of MTG

just some nerdy thing I'm upset about: the MTG cardgame is supplementing its lore with LoTR characters, as some of you may know. Though there is this big argument about the Aragorn card (which I really don't care about; whatever the art looks like, its still ARAGORN), it is shameful to think that a game with already a super complex lore needs to supplement it with LoTR. I believe this is the beginning of the end for MTG; what are your opinions?

My humble opinion is that LOTR is too good to be mixed with any other lore other than its own.
