The feeding.

I found a family of raccoons at the edge of me and my neighbors property.  I bought a few cases of canned cat food and feed them each night, bits at a time, closer and closer to my neighbors house without her knowledge.

After about two weeks I noticed stray cats in the mix.  I started feeding them all on her back porch.  There are about 15 or 20 cats and raccoons on her back porch every night now.

Raccoons are an asset to every back yard. They keep watch over your house all night, they chase away all those pesky freeloading opossums, and they even help you sort out your trash to make sure you didn't mix any recyclables in with your other trash.

All they ask in-return for their services is a little bit of cat food and a couple of hot dogs. Is that really too much to ask for?

I feel really good about helping them find their new forever-home.
