There’s more than just inky black krakens.
Deformed, inky creatures crawl through the city. Some resemble animals, and humans. Some don’t look like they should exist.

Fighters have enhanced physical abilities and specialize in melee combat, but suck at magic.
Healers heal a lot and attack little.
Jesters heal little and attack a lot.
Mages do a little of everything.
