The Official Christmas Thread

Glad to have you on board my friend
Not bound by the usual Advent conventions, I will be posting according to the Zigwidian Calendar:
Day One

Inspired, if that is the right word, by the "Boring Forum", I posted the cardboard thread. Quite festive don't you think ? Children are said to value the cardboard boxes more than the presents they contain. So let's kick off Christmas with this no reply anticlimatic wonder:

You were lucky to get a cardboard box. We were just invited to consider Plato's realm of ideas from which a "cardboard box" was just an abstract construct.
Day Two

Punny you should say that !
I recently enjoyed the interleaving of puns that Kaynight and myself made irreverently interleaved between the sociopyscobabble on the "Sexism thread". The "grown ups" ignored us...
A storm in a teacup. Once again Kaynight plays Plato to my Socrates, or I should perhaps less pretensiously say, Boswell to my Johnson :

Day Three

Day Four
There are a zillion threads about "sexism in chess", "No rematch haters" etc etc but why didn't I get ONE reply to a serious request ?

Day Five

Whilst it's a wonderful life here on chess.com, I want to reiterate my annoyance with the Americans continued usage of "soccer"...
With this in mind I thought what do I do ? Let this burning rage continue ? Wade waist deep in a tank full of piranhas with a pieces of salami attached to my genitals or start a campaign to hit back by referring to baseball as ROUNDERS !
Thinking the latter would be more dangerous I never the less risked it. No one bit ! I don't suppose anyone now will.

Day 6

Sorry to see that Kaynight has now gone from chess.com. He seemed a decent sort. He was particular fond of mentioning the moonlanding hoax on different threads, which must be applauded. Perhaps all we have to do is occasionally stand up for the truth ? Merry Christmas to you.
What do we think of stalemate ? Not a lot if the responses to another one of my debating dudes are anything to go by !...

Hello all newbies, how are you all. I am Prince Charming form United State Of America. I am an Artist. I love to meet new people as well as making new friends. I am here for wish a Merry Christmas to all of you friends. I wish that God Jesus will giving blessing you all the time and this Christmas is coming with a lot of happiness and good news for all of you and your families.
Day 7
I thought this was genuinely fascinating - perhaps appreciated but not commented upon. Cycling is probably too dangerous for the average chess player who hates the thought of even just "losing a pawn"...

Day 8

I always thought Wizzard's "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day" was better than Slade's "Merry Christmas", but the record buyers disagreed. By a chain of reasoning it is possible to argue that Western Democracy is decided by moment to moment economic choices viz purchases. So even from this example there is something wrong with Western governance.

Savile was probably kiddie fiddling the support group there.
I have a funny feeling we have met before Kraynight...
Savile was part of the Establishment rather than an exception and I believe it was because he was a deviant rather than inspite of it he occupied a prominent place in the BBC,AKA the media arm of MI5 and part of the real government rather than the Westminster pantomime produced for public consumption.
I believe the leadership of this country and most, is in the hand of utter sociopaths who get away with it because the ordinary people, whilst being normally selfish, cowardly and ignorant to an understandable level, just can't comprehend the deviousness and evil of their "betters".
In the case of Savile we have fellow BBCite Ester Rantzen in charge of the so called "Child Line", ostensibly taking calls from abused children, but who wouldn't bet that this was just an intelligence op, filtering out those kids who'd been abused by the misnamed "elites".
Day 9
There's a fellow at chess club I know who bought a picture of Audrey Hepburn, understandably then realised that taking it home would "irritate" his wife - so it hangs in our club room ! No doubt Audrey had very nice features....
.....I was never one for "celebs" and my internal classification system of female beauty would include women such as the one that works at the library or catches the same bus in the morning etc
So not only did no one except Mr K. post on my thread - as usual, but I wasn't really interested in this topic anyway !
