The problem with forums

Lily-714

So recently, whenever I go onto forums to look through the chaos of OTF, to look at some interesting chess news, I always find at least one forum topic that is saying something that makes people  generally angry, something that is untrue, or something that is  very offensive. Most of the people who make these types of posts are simply trying to get your attention and to get you to reply with an angry comment. This is called ragebait and it’s happening a lot right now on chess.com. I really hate it especially when a post is clearly ragebait and it has like 1000 comments arguing about it. Guys, please don’t interact with forums like this, (I get it’s hard to stay away if it’s something offensive or untrue.. but the best thing to do is ignore ) all these people want is for you to interact so don’t give them that attention.

stay safe out there guys

Agreed. We need to go back to the good old days where people posted wholesome things daily
