Does anyone here have any tips for the fine art of looking busy while not actually accomplishing anything? It’s a seriously impressive feat, but I’m looking to take my already-prodigal talents to the next level. This is the strategy that I've developed over the years:
1) My genius first step is to create a massive to do list and populate it with tasks like "organize digital files from 4th grade" or "plan your new years resolutions". Bonus points if the list is endless.
2) I'll set up my writing desk with motivational posters and even a container of bright rainbow pens. I keep a box of crayons in the drawer for emergencies. Think positive! If you're positive, you can achieve anything right?
3) I schedule breaks to appear diligent. Maybe I'll take some extra time to "research" that yummy flavor of cheesecake or reread the romcom i've already read 3 times. Well, maybe 4, but does that matter? This definitely isn't procrastinating.
4) When it comes to social interactions, I'll either ignore everyone completely or contribute vague, non-committal comments that might seem insightful but they're actually completely harmless to the conversation.
I’m looking for more advanced techniques or clever strategies to elevate my performance in the arcane art of doing absolutely nothing! Has anyone else mastered the skill of achieving nothing while making it look like you’re doing everything? Share your tips in the comments, please!
