You don't seem to be the least bit aware of the last 10 years of British political history - despite the English flag.
Starting with Cameron's austerity government (making absolutely brutal cuts to public spending), and ending in the outright rejection of socialist Corbyn who lost seats that were held for over a hundred years.
English people generally have a very (very very) poor view of welfare scroungers. Even things like begging are illegal here.
The disabled are a different matter, but even that was very heavily cut too.
