In December 2, 1908, a group of eunuchs and Imperial guards left the Forbidden City on an operation to crown someone. They headed north to Zaifeng's mansion. Zaifeng was not expecting visitors, but they were not here to crown Zaifeng. They were here to crown his 2-year-old, Pu Yi, who hid in a cupboard to hide from the visitors. The visitors managed to calm him down and take him back to the Forbidden City. They put him in a fancy robe and performed a coronation ritual, which to him, is like doing all sorts of weird things, in front of him.

In imperial China, the emperor was considered as a living god, hence from now on, the 2-year-old would be considered a living god from a third of the world's population. He was not allowed to see his mother, but Wang Lianshou, Pu Yi's wet nurse. Because Pu Yi had no idea what he was doing, Cixi became the Empress Dowager and Zaifeng became the Emperor of China. Zaifeng died to poison, and Cixi ruled China. Cixi died soon after and a 2-year-old sits on the throne.

One day, Pu Yi and a few dozens of eunuchs accompanied him on the journey to the eastern palaces. On the way back to the Forbidden City, two eunuchs were being rude to him. They were forced to show their gyatts and get whipped. In the Forbidden City, he was bored. Some of the eunuchs put a puppet show. He enjoyed it and decided to reward the eunuchs with a cake. However, before he showed the eunuchs the cake, he asked his wet nurse to put iron shards to see how the eunuchs would react. He became a brutal boy and beat up the eunuchs and made them eat dirt. One time he also used his air gun to shoot a eunuch. But beyond the Forbidden City, there was chaos and turmoil across China. China was a very corrupt country in the early 20th century.

In 1911, soldiers attacked their corrupt generals. The Imperial Army also sided with the rebels, leaving Qing China without military defense. China went from a monarchy to a republic. But the emperor was spared. He abdicated the throne but still sat on it. He was allowed to live in the Forbidden City with his eunuchs and an allowance of what is today $3.7 million.

In 1919, Reginald Johnston taught Pu Yi English. While doing so, he secretly taught him Western culture and philosophy. Pu Yi became obsessed with Western culture and he would dress up like an Englishman, wear glasses and love movies and the telephone. He also dreamed of being an Oxford student. Pu Yi also asked Reginald Johnston to sneak him out of the Forbidden City, but Reginald Johnston refused to because that would make Reginald Johnston lose his position. He had no one to help him escape, and four eunuchs showed him four photographs of women. He first picked a 12-year-old Manchu girl, Wenxiu, but she was too poor to become empress and she could only be a concubine. He then picked again, this time a 15-year-old girl, Wanrong. During the marriage, he ran away because he had no idea what he was doing. He was also proven LGBTQ+ and infertile.

In 1924, he was expelled from the Forbidden City by warlord Feng Yuxiang. His house was moved from Beijing to Tianjin. But this did not sound too bad for the former emperor, because he always wanted to escape the Forbidden City.

The Japanese sent him to Manchukuo and made him emperor. After World War II, the Soviets sent him to gulag then lent him to the CCP. In the CCP, he was a prisoner. For the first time, he did things he had not done before, like tying his shoes and frying an egg. He did not have to do them as the emperor since the eunuchs did it for him. He then was brainwashed into a communist for nine years, reading lectures and listening to radios.

After he was freed, he became a street sweeper, however, was fired on the first day. He also revisited the Forbidden City, this time as a tourist. He also pointed out that there were numerous fake artifacts because he had broke them as a child. He also pointed out that the portrait of Emperor Guangxu was messed up for the portrait of Emperor Zaifeng. He ended up being a gardener in the Beijing Botanical Garden.
