You're welcome Trysts. I've seen Isaac Stern and Itzhak Perlman in concert. They both were breathtaking. I've recently studied that Chaconne, that is why I mentioned it. When you listen to it a few times it becomes pure madness.
The ten greatest of music

Wow, I would have loved to have seen those two violinists in concert! Thank you again for the Heifetz

Procol Harum
Did you know they named their band after their drug dealer's cat? (Slightly altered spelling.)
True story!

Do you know this piece? It's not well known, but it is absolute beauty
That is a very beautiful piece of music.

Are we still talking about classical music?
Thank you, Sred
Though my list is not very useful if you seek new exciting unknown stuff.

Some of my favorite Rock and Roll performers that haven't been mentioned:
Neil Young
Janis Joplin
Cream
Blind Faith
David Bowie
AC / DC
The Pretenders
The Kinks
Badfinger
Iggy Pop
The Clash
The Sex Pistols
The Kinks
The Who (Tommy can you hear me?)
The White Stripes
Nirvana (Who some say saved Rock and Roll)
Pearl Jam (esp. w/Neil Young)
Bruce Springsteen
The 13th Floor Elevators
T Rex
Lou Reed & The Velvet Underground
Frank Zappa
The Grateful Dead
Jefferson Airplane (Grace Slick)

Not only organ, he did have a thing for G Strings.....
I do love that piece. I'm just Bach-ignorant.
Cool. And organ's not that bad, this is almost ROCK!
This is a master piece. but you should have posted a version with actual organ in it :P.
Since we are talking classical music anyway, I'm quite fond of some of the stuff that is well known. Mostly into piano (solo) and or strings.
Favourite composers:
Tchaikovsky
Liszt
Chopin
a little of the Ludwig Van
Bach
Mozart
Mendelssohn
From those composers I know specific pieces played by specific musicians that I like. But I have a distinct taste. There's a whole lot of stuff that I don't like.
Have been listening to Carlo Gesualdo as an experiment lately. I got mixed results. Calming but also very depressing. This one is absolutely beautiful imo though

indeed, the greatest 24 out of 10
Don't confuse us by changing names so quickly. I was just getting used to cauliflowery.

I never heard of Schutz or Monteverdi, so thank you
@electricpawn: Thank you for the list!
@Vivinski: Thank you for the list and that haunting music from Miserere

indeed, the greatest 24 out of 10

I forgot to include Bob Dylan and The Band, so please update your snotty comment, whoever you are.

Thank you, red-lady! That was really neat! My family and I went to see Nadia Serano Sonnenberg in concert when I was probably 13 years old. It was amazing to me. I love violinists
