There is ComplexInfinity then there are Complex Infinitesimals

(1+2 i)/infinity=(1+i)/infinity

And this fraction cannot be reduced any further.

There are only 8 Complex Infinitesimal identities. They are.

1/infinity, -1/infinity, i/infinity, -i/infinity

(1+i)/infinity, (1-i)/infinity, (-1+i)/infinity And

(-1-i)/infinity.

0 is not an Infinitesimal, for if it were then (1/0) would equal infinity and not +/-infinity just as a limit, as it does.

But I don't think so.

First of all, I will show that 1/infinity = 0

Give: 1/infinity = X

1/(2infinity) = 1/infinity = X

*I can say that infinity= 2(infinity), in this equation from the counting continuum i.e. the set of {1,2,3,...} and {2,4,6,...} assume the same number of elements. because members [1,2], [2,4], [3,6], ... can be matched infinitely. In other hand, set of real numbers Considered larger than the set of counting numbers. Because we can't match members like the previous example.

So X/2 = 1/(2infinity) = 1/infinity = X

X/2 = X ; (X)-(X/2) = 0 ; X/2 = 0

X = 0

That mean 1/infinity = 0

back to the poblem (1+2i)/infinity = (1/infinity)+(2i/infinity) = 0+2i(1/infinity) = 0+2i(0) = 0

Therefore, I think ±i/infinity = (±i±1)/infinity = 0

Nope,

If 1/infinity were to equal 0, then 1/0 would be equal to just 0+infinity

And not 0+/ OR -infinity as a limit only, which it can be shown to equal.

For as x approaches 0 from the right side, then 1/x shall approach both infinity and 1/0

AND

As x approaches 0 from the left side, then 1/x shall approach both -infinity, as 1/0 TOO.

0*infinity will equal infinity *(1-1) which is equal to (infinity-infinity)

While 0*-infinity will equal (-infinity+infinity) which is exactly the same thing.

….these are so ridiculous… it’s like DISSING the actual CONCEPT OF INFINITY

Avatar of TheBestBeer_Root

it’s absolutely absurd

1/infinity = 0  TRUE

1/0 = infinity  FAUSE

You're right that we can't find the value of 1/0 since the limit on the left side is -infinity but limit on right side is imfinity. But the reason you are arguing is "if 1/infinity=0 then 1/0=infinity is not true" is incorrect. While you're solving equations by moving 0 to left side and infinity to right side, you are unaware that you are multiplying by infinity on both sides of the equation. I will illustrate the error that occurred as follows:

1/infinity = 0

(1/infinity)(infinity/0) = 0(infinity/0)

1/0 = infinity

Some mathematical properties of the real number not applicable to the infinite number.

...If you were a "Chess Officer [known also as a Piece]", you would be a Bishop.

Because you look like such a d*ckhead here...[being] next to the King.

That IS- What I meant: Chess Officer (Or bad headed Bishop). Not, P*lice Officer.

I just LOVE The P*lice!

😂 you also apparently love being lmao muted for such obnoxious remarks that are not condoned on this great site.
