A lot of people like the way this site is set up in that we have all the time we need to analyze a position. Also, some of us aren't always able to finish a game right away. I'm on this site a lot at work. If something comes up and I'm pulled away from a game, I like that I can come back to it at my leisure.
That being said, you may not realize that the staff here is working on developing just what you want to play. It is accessible here: http://www.chess.com/play/live.html
Be forewarned, though: it is still in Beta, so it is a bit underused and may still be buggy. Also, you may want to spend some more time exploring the forums. This topic has been asked (and answered) a great many times already. Search "live chess" in the forums and you'll see what I mean.

why isn't there a slection of time limits for theses games. i am so sick of starting a game then get to a point where i am going to lay abeating on them and then oh they decides to take a break, or wait tell u have decided to play a different game, so now you lose your concentration on the game you first started. [ya a break, they wait tell i get timed out} .what bs, there should be a choice of 3 min, 5 min,10 min, or even 15 min to make a move. why is there only choices in days, i dont have days to play a game of chess. Maybe its i just have to find a different site to play on............. i just like to play one game from start to finish, not 3 games just to keep from getting bored because the first game i started the person decided to wait for 4 hour before making a move. It probably because they get in a sticky situation and they use a cheat or a friend to help them out. but if there was a time limit of a few mins. they would be forced to play the game them selfs. I don't know but it sur is frusterating to have to wait that long for them to make a move. thats all i wanted to say.is there anyone else thats feels this way .............
