It's still accidental in a way though . I mean we just happen to have an ability to experience pleasure and pain . Why do we prefer pleasure ?

Pulp talked about the pain and pleasure thing being about sustaining life.
For example we prefer a clear blue sky because it enables us to see predators . I guess it means we get vitamin d from the sun too .

Tom, I know people whos mood changes with the weather...say cloudy day, they become real moody. Are you like that? What i'm getting at is I heard the vitamin D thing too, and these people take it on cloudy days.
