I have tried mapping re what I am . I'm still hoping that's going to bring the truth . Call me a crazy fool .

Wait, so you are not drawing a map to follow, just a map of yourself,in order to understand yourself, is that it? Or to understand yourself and then another map to follow?

To 823:  I don't know if he attained anything. He would contradict himself, too. You cannot say there is no path and then start a nonsensical inquiry with the blind: only a blind person could engage in an inquiry with the blind, giving them the impression they can see things. By doing that not only confuses even more the blind, but casts serious doubts on one's own capacity to see.

My understand is - Tom is creating his own map. It is called the 'Tomism Map'.

He boldly rejects all other maps.

Except small pieces from Hawkings & Einstein.

Tom is 'mapless'.

Or am I wrong Master?

There is a distinction between observing oneself and drawing a map, and following a map drawn by another, so I want to know which is it in this case? This for starters.

I just wasted several minutes of my life reading this topic.  I can never get them back.

Either way Jamie will go, it's not a choice, we just like to play that game of being people who choose responsibly.

So what is your approach? Do you meditate at all?

Or are your theories based upon cognitive thinking?

You are obviously interested in the area.

It depends what you mean by meditation.

by the way I just want to say how much fun I had reading the dialogue. Such a tapestry and so interesting to me. Great humour too.

Anyway mapping.

this is what happened to me. Apologies to those that have read before. E.g. Estren. I wonder if anyone reads and doesn't post. If so hello!

so I went crazy .Or if I was crazy crazier. Man I was crazy. I can't begin to tell you how crazy I was. I still worked but I became more and more crazy to the point that I was recommended to take some time out. So I'm sitting there in this assesment centre and thinking wow I have things wrong. I saw I was broken. That things had gone wrong. Well I took the meds and calmed down and saw things straighter. Anyway after leaving I was still crazy to an extent. Struggling at work and so on. I knew still that I was crazy.

My practice started as a simple one. Observe the breath, use the breath as an anchor. Why the breath? Because your next breath is always in the moment. Without an anchor point - the mind tends to drift off to all sorts of places. That was how I started in meditation.

nice . I think my anchor is to look for the choice whether or not to solve.

Yes, Nik, Buddha said that. In other words, the mind wants to think, so to speak, and you are using a trick to divert it from its conditioned response, into another conditioned response.
