i saw there is a movie/documentary about led zeppelin coming out.
i doubt it will include mention of all the songs they ripped off from blues artists.
mad world is a song that comes to mind that was covered. here is the original
when artists cover a song and do it exactly like the original, i think it's kind of lazy. probably the most famous example of redoing a song your own way is all along the watchtower by hendrix. after hearing it dylan supposedly said, "it's his song now".
Legend has it that Bob 'relinquished' this song to Jack Elliot as well
