We should stop people from leaving somehow.
I doubt that many are leaving. Most just desire attention and start threads about leaving. I haven’t been on CC that long, but I remember when the forum was a little bit better, just little bit. I’d rather those that truly wish to leave, just left without fanfare or announcement. Those who do announce their departure and fail to do so should be banned in my opinion.

Even when they leave they just come back with new accounts. Typical life cycle:
Should I leave?
Do you hate me?
Do you like me?
I'm leaving
I'm back
I'm leaving again
I'm back again
Anyone remember me?
Kidnap them

Ask me anything.
Lets count.
Lets recite the alphabet.
The turnover rate here is very fast. You stay off chess.com for a week and when you return, you recognize none of the names on the forum pages. I take breaks periodically but I never announce them. People come and go, people leave and return, some leave for good, some are IMPOSSIBLE to get rid of. It's the internet. Our true support systems are offline, right?
