Dinos laid eggs before there were chickens.

The chicken came first as the chicken is the closest relative to the T-rex

The T-rex laid the egg and the chicken survived the asteroid so bam chicken

There were dinosaurs (laying eggs) more than 160 million years before the first T-Rex was hatched. Dinosaurs appeared about 240 million years ago. T-Rexs didn't evolve until about 70 million years ago.

smartest explanation ive EVER heard.

If the T-Rex laid an egg 🥚 then there’s not gonna be a chicken popping out of it , but a baby Rex ! 🤷‍♂️.......we need to bring in the brains trust to sort this one out , and I do mean “ brains 🧠 “ which means you lot are definitely wasting your time 🤷‍♂️..........allow me too introduce myself ! Woollensock the forums brains trust at your service ✌️😾

Do I have to start learning genetics to solve this mystery? Lmao
l_l_RISK_l_l

It's been 65-66 million years since T-Rexes.  There's bound to have been many changes since.  🤷‍♂️  These changes have led to modern chickens, among other birds.  Since T-Rexes and other dinosaurs laid eggs, eggs have come before chickens.  And here we are now.
