what is sandbagging in chess?
Basically you take the sandbag, and throw it on the board, wiping out all the pieces and maybe breaking the board. You can see why this is cheating.
Boy, I thought I was bad. People sandbag sometimes so they can then go to tournaments as an underrated player and wipe the board with sand bags. Hence, the term. It also helps keep the board dry in case of flooding. How can anyone let a little flood stop them from playing Chess? Any good chess shop will sell you a palletful and there are always plenty on hand during tournaments. You'll see huge piles of sand laying all over.
