Where did the universe come from?

Hello,

Where do you think the universe came from?

It's a great topic, and I love comparing thoughts on it.

In the beginning was God. Then he created time and space and He holds it all together

I believe that the only possible explanation to the universe is that God created it.

hasn't 'always existed' because of entropy:

didn't 'create itself' before there was time & space;

logic leads me to a conclusion i can't discuss here.

To be quite honest it’s a discussion that gets very on the religious side concerning the actuality of the Infinite Space in a void of darkness with MUCH BEAUTIFUL LIGHT.

Here is a simple logic statement.

If A = B and B = C then A must = C.

Therefore:

If something cannot come from nothing, and the universe is something, the universe must have always been here.

there's a flaw in your reasoning:

A = the universe is something.

B = something cannot come from nothing.

C = the universe cannot come from nothing.

we can agree to this point;  however, the law of entropy disproves your conclusion of 'therefore the universe must have always been here':

this is also known as 'steady-state' theory, but the problem is that stars have a limited amount of fuel & they all would have either exploded or imploded long ago if we posit an infinite time frame for the universe... yet there they twinkle in the sky.

so where did the universe come from, then?

there is another, logical answer to this question, but again i'm not at liberty to divulge the answer here as it would delve into the realm of 'faith in the unseen'.

definitely not referring to 'dark matter' or 'dark energy' here though;  i can tell you that much.

1st law of thermodynamics:  energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed.

2nd law of thermodynamics:  entropy of universe only increases.

entropy = disorder of a system.

denying the second law by invoking the first law doesn't seem to be a valid argument:

complete universal disorder would have occurred long ago within an infinite time frame.

A = the universe is everything that exists.

B = universal laws apply to everything.

C = universal laws apply to the universe.

i never shared 'my' belief in magic.     🙂

The James Webb Space Telescope will show us more of the universe soon.

Would you care to hear another perspective, spiritually based? If so, I will pm you. happy.png
