why do we experience time the same 🤔

I was just thinking like why do we experience time the same. For example if i went to a book store or a coffee shop or the store or just anyplace random and started chatting with a person and I might say “this week feels a lot longer than last week” and the person agrees with me, but why. There are always 168 hours 7 days in a week and let’s assume that this has nothing to do with the seasons changing or that we’re in the same season. Why is it that me and this complete stranger experienced the week the same as me say if we had gone to work together or known each other before then maybe it would’ve made sense but we don’t know each other and we both say that this week felt long.

Feel free not to answer im just bored rn

Some people will also think that the week was short. It’s different from person to person. You just managed to find a person who agreed.

As Einstein said time is relative, you play video games, you'll feel time goes like a rocket, you try to study and you'll feel like it's moving so slow.

yeah like Basix said maybe you're both having a boring week and the time feels longer for both of you. or they simply agreed because they wanted to be nice and social and actually think something like: what are they talking about? how can this week feel longer than last week lmao? whatever let's just agree and move on 😆

One they were most likely being polite. Two, you both may have been having a difficult week. When you are not having a good time or are feeling stressed, time feels longer even though it is a constant. It’s a psychological thing
