Ok the one with your win against the 2000+ player I don't really know but it looks like he threw the game on purpose. It might have something to do with accuracy.

Honestly it might be a troll account he seems to play horribly and he lost like 15 games in a row and barely lost anything in terms of rating.

Ok I have no clue but he didn't play like a 2500+ player at all. You might just be overreacting to a single glitch in the system. There also might be a limit to how much you lose in a game, it'd be stupid if you just rose 200+ because you beat a grandmaster, and same goes for losing if you are a grandmaster.

They'd have to do a ton of programming and stuff to account for every single thing.

You should NOT get 200 rating points for beating someone unless you have played less than 100 games.

If you beat a person 1000 points higher does not mean you are as good. It makes perfect sense to gain 16 points. It is basically double the difficulty to beat someone your rating
