End the meaningless conflict to the death that stems from petty grievances against one country and another. People say world peace isn’t possible, but that’s just because they haven’t tried to convince themselves and anyone else

Try convincing some Islamic militants then come back and talk to me.

#44 No, soldiers have lives, friends, families, and a purpose in life other than either defending their country or attacking the other. They had a choice between being put at risk for their country or living out their lives in fear of being the reason that some young person died on the frontline in their position. Though I do respect the people who defend our country by either risking their lives or sacrificing it for others, I am advocating for an end to this endless cycle of violence and death, and I suggest you do the same.

Some people feel a calling to defend their country and all the people who reside in freedom there. If it is a democratic nation, soldiers do it for everlasting freedom. In a socialist, communist or authoritarian country, soldiers do it so that their country either rules the world or to spread their religion.

As I’ve said, it’s about the ideology one has been raised in and what that ideology teaches or demands. And defending a country isn’t the same as invading or destabilising one

No..the armed forces is an escape out of poverty for many.

That’s new. Here in Germany you could join, I think the navy, and they’ll pay your student loans or something

Yeah, then they come back poor AND traumatized. Vive la guerre!🥳
