Usually when you buy online (For exampleFritz and Rybka) one does not get the large databases, so I wold guess it is the same with Shredder. But maybe you should ask.

I'm also considering buying Shredder 12 Mac.
The product website talks about a "Huge Book" openings database that comes with Shredder 12 that is about 1GB in size. Is this downloadable when you buy the program, or just accessible online?
It's not clear on the product website if you can download the openings database(s), or just access them online.
I'd really like to have it/them on my MacBook hard drive, as I'm not always online.
Any info greatly appreciated.
