I agree completely. 30/30 (or 30/15, whatever) would be far superior to 30min games. It's very disappointing to play an hour long game and then cheaply lose an intense endgame, because there's no increment.
30min per side is getting to the point where you can play "real" chess instead of blitz. Might as well make it so we can play "real" endgames without worrying about getting cheapo'd by the clock. I believe this is actually why increments were invented.
The reason you have an increment on 45 (or 90) min games is the same reason there should be an increment for 30. Honestly, I would play chess here way more often if there was a default increment on 30min. Otherwise I'll save my frustration.
I am posting this in the premium member section because not a single reply from anyone in the general forum. I understand the need for a 45/45 games as some groups like this longer game. I played a 45/45 game from the default settings the other day and it felt like it lasted for hours. Plus I was matched with a person over 100 points below me. Last time I will ever use that default again. I am just wondering why a 30/30 default has not been added. Why the 45/45? I used to work in IT so I know it's no big deal for your programmers to create another default. I take this game very seriously and even have a personal coach from your website. Am I the only person out of 10,000,000 members that wants a 30/30. Why don't you send out a email to all premium members asking for feedback. I would personally play 30/30 exclusively. Almost all my friends who I play 30 minute games against would love to see the 30/30 option and would also play it exclusively. How can we make this happen? Does any premium members reading this post agree or disagree? Thanks
