Game Analysis Tool Missing?

I'm relatively new to chess.com, but particularly liked the 1-minute analysis I could do after each game, to identify blunders and mistakes.

Yesterday the interface seems to have changed, and I can't figure out how to do the analysis anymore.  First, when I go to play a new game I instead get the available games graph and start watching some other game.  Previously, it would just try to find a match for me.

But more importantly, after the game, now the "Analyze" button takes me to an interactive screen appropriate for going over the same with your opponent, but all I really want is to have the computer analysis let me review the game.

Can someone point me in the right direction?  I think the iOS app still works as expected, but not the website.

Thanks,

Tac

Just want to confirm that the iOS app does give you the "Analyze" button, AND it works for old games as well.  Click on an old game and you get the option to analyze it.  1-minute analysis being available for free members.

I too am new to chess.com and cannot find the equivalent function on the website.  If it is there, I would really love to have someone point out how to get to it!

The one minute analysis shows surface mistakes, but it won't identify your real problem like a five or 30 minute analysis would. You can self learn simply by playing slower and in depth!

I think the question is "where is the tool in the web version?"  At least that is my question.  I can only get to it in iOS.

It is the archived game screen on the web. Go into any completed game and the link will be there. Though, you will need to be on v3 to have a similar, though not the exact same, experience. Also, v2 has a different limitation for basic members and analysis.

Thanx for the feedback!

Not sure about the v2 vs v3 part of your comment or how to get one versus the other on the web. But, while I can get to the analysis screen, the options on the web do NOT include the 1 minute analysis version that is free for basic members.  It is easily available for the iOS immediately following the end of a game and whenever clicking on an old game.

I am on Windows 8.1 using Internet explorer 11 and joined chess.com about a week or two ago. (If that matters??)

Well, v2 has a link to complete analysis in the game arhive but you only get 1 per week. It also won't provide the option after the game. The visual style of the site is a lot different than the app.

v3 of the site looks a lot like the app and the analysis may be offered immediately post game; I don't play a lot of Live so I would have to check.

I take it v3 of the site is not live yet?  If it is.. how do I get it??

Martin_Stahl

It's still working towards full release but is available. There is a link at the bottom of most pages that says Try the New Chess.com or you can use www.chess.com/switch (you'll have to log on again).

Ah, OK.. thanx.  I must say that I am impressed on the response to the forum help.  A lot of these freemium games/sites have very little help access.  Not sure why tacman1123 did not get a response for a couple of months, but  it was nice to see my response follow-up to his original post see a resolution in reasonable time.
