great question! it all has to do with transpositions. it's a lot trickier than it should be, but trust me - it isn't easy to understand. but if you carefully choose one line and study the games involved you will see how it works out!
Opening Explorer all screwy

ok, I see what you mean but shouldn't it tell you the stats of the position ultimately reached after the stated move rather than that particularly moves success? that is ultimately the more important piece of information.
fast reply btw!

oh, if ONLY!! but that is simply impossible. trust me - we've been down this road :)
Hi! Not sure if this is the right forum for this (feel free to move the thread) but I've noticed that oftentimes Opening Explorer will show a move (say 7. h3) and show the stats for that move (say 26% 41% 33% out of 14 games, probably the math doesn't work here but that's not the point) and then you click on that move and it turns out to be out of 120 games & the stat isn't even correct.
Not that I'm planning out my openings completely on stats but just wanted to let y'all know the feature is malfunctioning.
It's a great feature though & thanks again to all who are continually working hard on this site!! :)
