Ive actually wanted to see my out going messages too, and have been unable to find anything.

when on your messages page, on the RIGHT there is a link called SENT ITEMS :)
Just to be sure... is it correct that messages I send to other players here at chess.com are not accessible to me? Or, if they are, how do I do that?
I've been interacting with people interested in an invitation-only tournament I'm organizing and it is hard to keep track of what I said to whom!
Or perhaps it could be possible to add myself as an addressee - that way I'd get a copy also. I know you can't send messages to multiple addresses at the same time (spamming concerns - fair enough) but perhaps there is a way you could send a copy to yourself?
