i am a diamond member, because this is the only training/ coaching i can easily access and afford. The big draw me in that regard is the video instruction...chess books are okay but i think you really need a bona fide good player to coach you- eg. you need a master level player to coach you if you use books. Another big draw for me is the analysis feature. I can compare my notes with the computer engine...i am usually way off, but once and a awhile....anyway that is why...the vids, the analysis and the library too.
It may be of a lot more interest why members (like me) downgrade from Diamond to Gold membership!, or indeed leave the site.
I'm a premium member, Diamond, and I became one because I thought I would be treated as one. But I can't get any response from Support, I no longer get Chess Vidos, I can't change my black background. I'm very displeased with being a member. I would rather just cancel my membership, only a member about three months now, except that there would be no refund and I loose about $75. Several years ago I was a Diamond Member and was perfectly happy with the service and site for years. What's going on with Chess.com now? Have you folks made so much money that you don't care about the individual member anymore? Why can''t I get Support? If I don't get a decent response, I will have to contact former members of Chess.com on any and all chess sites and ask if they had as much trouble as I am having. Why can't I make contact with you folks??????????????? It's almost as if you can't be bothered with our probems and just rake in the money and say the heck with us.

i have to take the SAT next week. 
I became a preamum member becase I have made the comitment to becomming a better a chess player. I have tryed other online sites that say you can become better though acsess to there vidoe articals and the like... but after attending the Vagas Chess Festival and meating some othe GM's thou the chess camp, the oppion was clear. This is the place to be... thanks chess.com the investment has been worth it!

I am premium member because of Tactics Trainer.
I read Michael De La Maza's book on Rapid Chess improvment which put an emphasis on training my tactics vision, and I think Chesscom's TT is the best way to do so.
I brcame a premium member to learn more and enter more tournys at the same time.Although Im a late in life chess player and my rateing is low I enjoy the competition.Being retired and having lots of free time I occupy a lot of my time reading the forums and playing when I find others doing the same.What elese this cheap can you have this much fun doing with your clothes on ?

Being a premium member increased my chess skills ALLOT and I mean ALLOT. I think everyone should buy membership if they want to take there chess training to the next level

The day I signed up is the day I paid for a year eh. To be honest. I am only a premium member to help pitch in. I don't really use the resources available to me but am more then happy to pitch in my little share to help keep this site going. Although no limit on tactics trainer is kinda nice =)

I like this website a lot and I like knowing that I am contributing to helping myself learn. I like being able to form my own chess.com tournaments as well. Being able to analyze games is a huge plus since I don't know any coaches of any kind. I like being able to learn from the chess mentore, tactics trainer, game explorer, and the videos chess.com provides. Although I can't seem to get videos to work off the app on my HTC.
I am a premium member but I am not satisfied! You know why? Every time I played (i.e. 3-min game) at the last minute my connection is deteriorating? I am not experiencing this when playing in other chess sites. I thought if I will be a premium member, my connection will be better. I was mistaken and regret it very much. If it will continue like this, I will not renew again my subscription.
Tactics Trainer. I can see numerous forms of blunders and the best way to attack them. Unlimited tactics means I can do as many as I want any time it's a good day for me.
