I love chess and want to improve. Simple as that!

I joined for the videos, the hundreds of different names for openings, defences etc. have always seemed like to much work to study but seeing the moves on the screen makes it enjoyable. I have been playing chess for thirty years using a Barbarian strategy; attack and see what happens. Though fun, it's more interesting to understand the different strategies and lines. Great site, glad to be here.
The Barbarian Strategy", lolo That is an excellant characterization of a attack, so what would you call the other side of that, the defend and wait and see how it goes strategy?
I currently (Aug 1 2013-Aug 10 2013) have a 10-day free trial diamond membership, and I have this because of the following features:
Unlimited tactics trainer
Unlimited (or maybe 100/week) computer analysis/games
Unlimited chess mentor
No ads
3d chess pieces
Improving my chess game in general, and many more!
agreed the money is a pittance compared to what this site has given me.

I'm a premium but I don't want anything for free and I don't see myself making a video so I'll just type here . . .
The number 1, most important reason why I am a premium member is that I LOVE chess.com and I can't imagine NOT giving back to a company who gives me so much. I also love the access that my membership provides. Chess is one of my very favorite things, and chess.com is a huge part of my connection to chess.
Best,
Ted
Very short:
All what you need you find at one place.
And the articles of my heroes Dan Heisman & Silman are great.
Its possible for chess.com to call my chief? I need time for all that stuff...
I like the computer analysis. Is there any way I way I can type in over-the-board games I've played and let the computer analyze them?

Love the site, played free for a year and wanted to use all the features to help improve my game. Love Danny Rensch's videos and bullet brawl commentaries. I love this site. They have bugs but I know the chess.com team is working on fixing them, and they will. Keep up the good work, and also, I think letting people play for free eventually leads to them becoming paying members. It did for me, same with other apps I have paid for - you keep bumping into that "ceiling" that only members can get above (i.e., using certain features) anf finally you break down and buy it.
Chess.com is awesome and practical for so many reasons -
1. Awesome for lessons with coaches who live a while away
2. Can play any time online
3. Your moves are recorded for all your games
4. Chess Mentor is epic
5. No ads
6. Go on vacation whenever your time runs out
7. Computer analysis is useful (sometimes until it calls opening lines inaccuracies.
