Unable to accept challenges

wgwork created 4 open challenges for 960 and I accepted one 960 game challenge where i was playing white. I opened another challenge but since i had to play as white again, I just closed the window (without rejecting or accepting it). 

I opened the third challege which had black on my side, but could not accept the challenge. Got the below error message, even though I am currently playing only 1 new game with him.

You are not allowed to accept this seek because you are already have 2 or more games against this opponent. To start another game against this player, please challenge them directly.

How did that resolve?

Oh oh.. That scares me.. I will raise a bug report then.
