So, why don't we try to put something together as chess.com community?
The site could then have its own square, link and advertising within the project.

Funny. Chess.com has apparently been here for at least 7 years. Yet, several years ago when I was looking for a place to play, I don't recall ever seeing chess.com in my searches.(Which is a little funny since it is in the name)
What happened? What was chess.com like 7 years ago? Did it have live chess?

I particularly like the idea of having a "community chess board" where donors will get their names put in squares of the giant board. It is a fun idea which helps the cause of chess.
