I think this has been presented as a technology problem but it's a business problem. So far the business seems to have decided to favor platform growth over maintaining service levels.
Amen, again, Wafflehouse. From a revenue and outgo POV, the model makes sense if a business can sell to many, many, many customers without delivering what they sold. If a thousand or ten thousand or a hundred thousand depart, the business is still flourishing. Because they continue to sell.
One could argue that there is no interest (nor, from the business model POV, should there be) in serving the individual customer. It is, in fact, counter productive.
