Or you could study endgames so you know how to properly checkmate your opponent in that situation.

Or the opponent should be forced to resign when hes got no material left

It could end up as a draw

Chess isn't about who has the most pieces left lol. If you have many pieces up against a lone king and you still fail to convert it to a win and end up running out of time/stalemating, that's on you and you don't deserve the win because you weren't capable of closing the game. And I checked your rating, you're in the 400s, while that is no issue at all it shows that if someone is in a specific rating range and is unable to convert a huge material advantage to a win then you are exactly where you belong on the rating ladder.
And going AFK just because they aren't resigning is a terrible method, it's against chess.com's TOS, instead as @Sir_TrashPanda said, just study endgames more and convert the game into a win and get it done with. If they stall then report them and move on.

Don't do that. It's reportable.

Starting a game and going AFK is just as bad as not resigning when you have no material left

Avatar of TenGolf-TPOT

Actually, it's worse.

Not resigning? Yeah, sure, it's a little annoying, but sometimes the player with no material forces a draw instead of losing. Really, resigning isn't always the best option when you're down.
But going AFK? That constitutes stalling and is a violation of Fair Play and a reportable offense.

Avatar of ssoeborg

What are you stalling by going afk if the opponent doesent have any material left and doesent resign?

Avatar of TenGolf-TPOT

So I looked it up and it's only stalling if you're losing. I might have been wrong on that one. But it's still considered extremely rude to go AFK. And it forces a draw when you could totally win.
