That is a rather poor explanation. I dont see the Sense behind that. It should he the best Rating that you Beat and that should be at the beginnend of the Game before substraction

Sorry not meant to be rude, just don’t understand why they do it. Not the most important bit of the game, just came across it and was wondering…
I agree the rating should be recorded as of the start of the game. If a player forces their opponent to play poorly then they should get the credit for that.

The idea is that the rating of the player, at the end of the game, is the more accurate representation of their strength. It could partially be a holdover from Daily games, and inherited from how Daily worked, when Live games were eventually added, basically just keeping the code the exact same for the games.
I noticed a mistake concerning the highest rated opponent: It states the rating AFTER you have beaten the opponent but not at the time of the game itself. E.g. I beat a player at 1075 and he will be 1067 thereafter - the system tells me the best rated player I bet was 1067 and not 1075.
