Bot game awards

hello everyone. As well as my usual and longstanding request that the site have more historic world champion bots (specifically Petrosian but others also), I think it's a shame there don't seem to be any achievements for completing games against the bots - could be an achievement for 3-crowning all the bots in a given category (beginner, intermediate, advanced etc), or all the bots of a given rating (all 1800 rated bots across all categories, for example). Also think it's a shame we can't do rated games against bots - there could be a toggle for rated/unrated as obviously rated ones you wouldn't be able to quit without penalty, and they'd need to be timed... though I guess there must be a reason there isn't that facility already, I still think if it could be done fairly it would be a decent addition

Site CEO Erik has explained why the bot games are no longer rated.   There was a post he made several years ago.  

I agree that it would make sense to add an achievement for beating all the bots.   I would guess that they haven't updated the achievements in a couple of years and if they ever do, they might add something.

Fair enough. Yes I'd guess it relates to the specific strategies that work (or used to) against chess computer programs that wouldn't work against human players of equivalent strength. So maybe people were able to use those strategies to get inflated ratings. And yea, some bot-beating achievements would be good to see, as someone who spends a lot of time playing bots!

The Christmas bots have achievements but there's nothing for any other ones

There really should be an achievement for beating at least the toughest bot there is. Maybe like, three-crowning it? Or what about the bot where you can adjust it's difficulty, set it to max, and win against it with absolutely no help.
