So, lag is real! I don't use mouse but touchpad. I do square-to-square clicks. And because my PC's screen is so much wider compared with my phone, naturally, I would think I'd always be behind in time in 2+1 bullet. But my as you raise this issue with those terms (ms, ping, etc.) my suspicion since my old and deleted accounts kinda proved to have merit, huh?!

Hello. I have been playing bullet chess in this site for quite some time now, and I have experienced some issues with lag. However, these issues have usually been temporary; they last anywhere between a few hours to a few days at most. However, since the past month or so, my lag issues have not resolved at all. My premoves cost more than 0.1 seconds (sometimes even costing a second), so whenever I get into time scrambles, even if I am up on time, I somehow still lose despite premoving everything. It has also negatively affected my play in this site; how can you focus on the game if you're worried about being significantly down on time? It's infuriating to see your rating tumbling down simply because your opponents have better connection to the server, and then comes the tilt. It doesn't help that when you're tilted, you still see that your opponent is up on time by 5-10 seconds despite you having made a gazillion premoves. If only 1+1 were popular...
This is also sometimes an issue in blitz, though true time scrambles happen less frequently in my blitz games, so I don't mind it as much there.
This is not an issue on my end, or at least I don't think so. Currently, my internet connection has a download speed of about 200 mb/s, and a similar upload speed. Ookla speedtest also rates my ping at less than 100 ms. So, how come I have 200+ ms lag on chess.com? Must I now move to the United States just to get rid of lag?
Meanwhile, on the other-chess-site-that-must-not-be-named-here, I have not experienced this lag, even when my internet connection is awful. In fact, my rating is 200-250 points higher there. I'm not sure if that's because of the difference in the pool of players, but my blitz ratings in the two sites are within 100 points of each other, so I'm not too sure. I know that lich- I mean the other-chess-cite-that-must-not-be-named-here usually has higher ratings than in chess.com, but this only applies to those below 2300 if I'm not mistaken.
And it's not only I who has been experiencing this. I've noticed that some of my opponents have had lag similar to mine if not worse. I'm sure they don't enjoy this as well. I really hope that for the sake of our enjoyment of chess, especially in this site, they be able to resolve this.
