Chess.com VS Lichess
In terms of letting humans speak their mind and discuss site policies regarding politics, Lichess >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Chess.com
Easy to find puzzles and games. The forums might be harder to navigate. But the interface is so much cleaner.
The free version of chess.com is far inferior to the free version of lichess. The paid version of chess.com is much better than being a lichess patron.
I use both, and other sites too (chess dot org and Shredder). Plus to Chesscom is fewer daily games aborted by my opponent vs. Lichess correspondence. Plus to Lichess is no obnoxious full screen video ads.
Ads are why I bought a membership here. I stay here, because I forgot the log in stuff for my lichess entity.
why are we lying the chess.com ui is much harder to navigate being changed every day with 5000 hidden categories and things you wont even know are on the site without spending an hour looking through hidden things
On Lichess all the players are in a weaker rating pool I find. By about at least 300 points, no joke.

One small step towards understanding that ratings are relative and valid within a specific community
Re #13: I don't mind ads for a free product, but I think a smaller banner ad would suffice to make money on the games I play here. The full screen video ads are unpleasant and tilt the scales away from playing here.

I reached 1993 Elo rating, back in 2016 before my drug dependence. Now I'm just hoping it will return over time.
