code does not match

somebody says 'hi' on messages and i reply 'hi', and i get a red warning popup

"code does not match".

thanks chess.com, this message changed my life forever.  now i understand my purpose in life.  and everything is good.

ok, just noticed the captcha at the bottom.  once that was filled in, everything went back to normal. 

so it was not a spiritual experience after all.

i'm so disappointed, chess.com.  i believed in you.

somehow this has been reported before but didn't show up on the in-site search.  had to use google.

The site has apparently put CAPTCHA in counter spam. It just disappears & reappears randomly.

Maybe next we could have a captcha before playing every move to prevent blunders. 

The bunny is now a bot bunny. Therefore, captcha designated for bunny makes sense. The site is making sure whether the bunny has actually turned into a bot or not.
