There are common issues on the internet regarding things like toxicity and bulling in social media communities. It’s especially concerning when youth are involved. While I understand that it takes time to moderate a site and that some activities cannot be prevented, it seems like there should be some measure in place for exceptionally bad behaviors (like grooming and inappropriate conversations between adults and children).

Dose chess.com have anyone on staff that specializes in being able to detect and discern such inappropriate behaviors? What actions are taken? Law enforcement should be involved as such activities are illegal.

By your estimate, how many people log on to chess.com daily?

Llama, I’ve already said that I understand that it takes time to moderate a site and not all things can be prevented. I know that a lot of people use this site.

Yes, they have. His name is Richard (@KobraBytes) who introduced himself a few days ago and invited us to contact him with any concerns or suggestions. See https://www.chess.com/forum/view/site-feedback/more-moderation-needed?page=5#comment-66250083

I know for sure they will mute players temporally or permanently or close their accounts in order to uphold their terms. How close they are working together with law enforcement, I have no idea.

Hi,

Also there is a group of moderator's that will go through the forums and posts to keep the community as Clean as possible, also if you see things you don't like etc you are fine to report things also.

As mentioned above you can message kobra as he's there to help also.
