Credit Where Credit is Due

Danny Rench is announcing "science-backed" chess.com courses.

These are Chessable courses - every one of them. This is not credited.

There's a link to a video, and maybe it gives credit there, but it does not play.

I actually own one of those Chessable courses, but chess.com is apparently unaware of this and offers to charge me for it.

Just because chess.com owns Chessable, should not mean they can claim to have done the work and research that Chessable did.

If you watch the video, he credits Chessable in the first 10 seconds. Several times.

You might want to report a bug on the video playback.

Does this video also indicate whether Chessable is going to disappear?

Because I own more than 20 Chessable courses, and the chess.com course section is unaware of this. I am not going to pay twice.

The video is no longer there at all. Clicking on the banner goes strsight to the courses.

No up front credit is now visible at all.

I don't believe there are any plans for Chessable to disappear and it will continue working as it has. You can even sync your courses from there, to here, though progress doesn't currently transfer

@Martin_Stahl thank you for the link. I was really worried that this was a first step in dismantling Chessable.

I have a long commitment to Chessable involving a lot of money, just as I have a long Diamond commitment to chess.com for puzzles, bots, etc.
