I like vote chess for the exchange of ideas, the occasional deep analysis and the general unpredictability. So as it is now we are all posting diagrams with analysis to improve our understanding of the position. I am an online player but i have been in a few tournaments as a spectator , one of the most exciting aspects was the post game analysis outside the playing hall , where strong players were talking on the same board about their ideas. I was thinking that as it is now the diagrams and posts of chess.com are not very intuitive.
I was thinking that if we had a "scratchpad" board that we can all work on at the same time it could be very nice. Multiple people could work on one variation, maybe some pastel colour coding about who suggested what move, and an annotation system on the side with collapsible branches , I think the best would have been a collapsible line per move instead of brackets, otherwise the brackets will get a bit crazy. one button next to the main board and you can flip to scratchpad mode.
Apart from vote chess this feature could be fun for training and analysis , and it could also be used in live chess in some sort of special rapid(even blitz) co-op mode.
